Notes from the CEO – DELPHY Acquisition

AgriFORCE recently announced the acquisition of Delphy, a leading European AgTech consultancy focused on optimizing agricultural production by driving innovation and operational expertise in agriculture, horticulture and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). AgriFORCE CEO Ingo Mueller shares more on this important milestone below.

What does this acquisition mean for AgriFORCE?

Together, AgriFORCE and Delphy aim to transform agriculture and AgTech across multiple markets globally. We look forward to drawing on the decades of experience, existing customer base and deep industry relationships that have been established by Delphy to offer truly integrated AgTech consulting solutions for a variety of plants and crops.

In partnership with key customers and industry suppliers, Delphy has developed expertise to test and optimize crops for CEA including vertical farming. AgriFORCE aspires to be at the forefront of AgTech knowledge, IP innovation as well as operational expertise to support cultivators to deliver sustainable, efficient and healthier crops, and we look forward to doing so together with Delphy.

Delphy has generated strong historical financial performance and consistent growth across Europe, Asia, and internationally, and we aim to build on this growth. We will expand Delphy’s consulting operations to North America and establish a research and development center in the U.S., whilst realizing expanded operations in Europe. We also have plans for increased penetration of Asian markets for Delphy.

How will this acquisition help AgriFORCE in addressing some of the key challenges in AgTech today?

From the outset, the team at AgriFORCE has understood that making a positive impact on agriculture requires an integrated approach. This cannot be achieved by merely piecing together off-the-shelf components – The entire effort, from the seed to the plant to the end product, needs to be optimized together. At the same time, building state of the art facilities isn’t enough on their own- those facilities require strong operational expertise and ongoing management to realize their full potential. This is what Delphy and AgriFORCE can deliver today’s growers. Drawing on decades of experience and a highly knowledgeable team, Delphy and the AgriFORCE family of companies will bring a new level of knowledge, IP, and operational know-how to the industry.

Current greenhouse and indoor growing methods have their own challenges – they use too many natural resources, are bad for environment and don’t provide ideal growing conditions. The AgriFORCE foundational IP- the GrowHouse – is designed to address these issues, and we look forward to working with Delphy to deploying these and other CEA facilities and solutions for growers in the upcoming years.

Together, we can reach new heights in IP development and innovation to transform the agriculture industry to address the challenges faced by today’s businesses, governments, and families.

What one thing do you want investors to take away from this news?

This acquisition is a key milestone for AgriFORCE. Along with Delphy’s existing revenue, this acquisition is an alliance of our complementary expertise and shared values. AgriFORCE and Delphy are dedicated to making positive change in the lives of farmers and consumers – and as we work together, we will make the most of this opportunity for innovation and expanded growth in North America, Europe, and eventually Asia and other regions, for both companies.

I hope our investors are excited about this acquisition and can see how valuable it is not only for AgriFORCE today, but also how it supports our global business strategy and M & A opportunities into the future as we work to further unlock the value of food and plant systems.
